A vacancy has arisen for a Programme Manager in All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care (AIIHPC). 

AIIHPC isa collaborative of hospices, universities, health and social care organisations and charities on the island of Ireland. AIIHPC advances education, research, and policy and practice to improve the palliative care experience of people with life-limiting conditions and their families.

Programme Manager

The Programme Manager is a senior post within AIIHPC supporting the AIIHPC Director in AIIHPC‘s key strategic role within the hospice and palliative care environment across the two jurisdictions (Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland).

Reporting to AIIHPC’s Director, the post-holder will focus on strategic implementation and operational issues related to the development of The Palliative Hub, AIIHPC’s online gateway to information and resources about palliative care on the island of Ireland across a series of websites and a Learning Management System. The Programme Manager will oversee the strategic development of The Palliative Hub including the development of innovative and engaging palliative care information and resources suitable for the diverse target audiences which includes people with life limiting conditions, parents and families of children and young people, health and social care professionals, researchers and educators. As part of this role, the Programme Manager will co-design websites and resources by engaging with health and social care professionals, researchers, educators and Voices4Care, AIIHPC’s volunteer group of people with palliative care needs, carer and interested citizen volunteer group. The post-holder will work collaboratively as part of the AIIHPC team.
