The EAPC is seeking an experienced and dynamic CEO to lead the organisation in its mission to improve palliative care across Europe. The CEO will work closely with the EAPC Board of Directors, staff, and key stakeholders to develop and implement organisational strategic initiatives, oversee operations, and represent EAPC at both a European and global level. This role requires a visionary leader with a commitment to palliative care and strong capabilities in organisational leadership. EAPC is a European organisation, to apply you must be eligible to live and work in Europe.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Advanced degree in a relevant field such as healthcare management, business administration, public health or social sciences is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience, preferably within a nonprofit organisation or healthcare sector.
- Sector Knowledge: Strong understanding of palliative care, healthcare policy, and nonprofit management. Previous experience in a similar role within the healthcare or humanitarian sector is highly desirable.
- Leadership: Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
- Strategic Vision: Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and implementation, with a track record of achieving organisational goals.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of audiences.
- Financial Management: Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and fundraising.
- Multilingual Abilities: Fluent English is required; proficiency in additional European languages is desirable.
